Jr. UAS Test Engineer [Part-Time]

Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated UAS Test Engineer to support flight test operations. This is a hands-on role that provides a unique opportunity to gain experience in UAS development and testing while working alongside industry experts. The position is ideal for students or early-career engineers looking for part-time experience, but all qualified candidates are encouraged to apply.
What You’ll Do:
- Prepare RC Aircraft for testing, ensuring all components are flight-ready.
- Manage test logistics, including setup the day before and coordination on the day of the test.
- Assist with basic IT setup and embedded software work related to flight hardware.
- Support system troubleshooting and data collection during tests.
- Contribute to continuous improvements in testing procedures.
Location: San Leandro (travel within the Bay Area required)

Desired Qualifications:
- BS in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent (current students are welcome to apply).
- Experience building and flying RC airplanes.
- Familiarity with embedded software and Linux computer setup (Aerospace, CS, or EE background preferred).
- Ability to drive within the Bay Area for test operations.
- Availability during mornings and evenings as needed for flight tests.
